Harvard College Fund Parents Committee Engages Parents of Students

Bruce Furst

With more than two decades of experience in licensing contracts for the inclusion of music into films, Bruce Furst leads the Austin, Texas-based Ashber Corporation. Outside of his work for the company, Bruce Furst supports students at Harvard University as a contributor to the Harvard College Fund Parents Committee.

The committee provides parents of Harvard students with the opportunity to become more involved in their children’s education and connect with fellow parents. Comprising more than 100 participating volunteer families, the committee creates a sense of community among parents worldwide and relies on peer-to-peer outreach to achieve its fundraising and engagement goals.
Activates undertaken by committee members include hosting or attending regional parent events and participating in committee meetings and calls. Additionally, members attend the Parents Leadership Weekend in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and foster relationships between Harvard parents and the college.
